A new home for the new-born -Sevabharathi proves it’s commitment to the society.
Kottayam:’Thanal’ an initiative by Seva Bharathi provides shelter for a new born who lost mother hours after birth.
Neethu a native of Karipputhattu gave birth on October 7th at Kottayam medical college. Neethu was suffering from jaundice and she passed away within days after giving birth.
Protecting the child was a question to the family and the local well-wishers. They approached Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Kottayam on this regard, who arranged the adoption of the child from the family members by Thanal, Ottapalam.
Adoption ceremony held at baby’s family home at Chungam was attended by several RSS & VHP leaders including seva pramukh Sri.K.N.Menon, Smt.Shantha Menon, Mathrushakthi state secy. Smt.Chandrika Haridas,VHP District president Sri.M.V.M.Nair and secratary Sri.K.S.Omanakuttan.
