Alapuzha:A responsible life based on love, compassion and service is the need of the hour to make our country and community self-sustainable, said V.H.P National Seva Pramukh Prof. Madhukar Dhikshit.

He was addressing VHP’s state seva shibiram at Chakulathukavu Bhagvadi Temple auditorium, Nerattupuram. Sri Abhayananda Theerdha Swamikal of Vidhyadiraja Seva Asramam (Matth) kudakachira did the inauguration of this meeting. Swamikal urged Hindus to join hand with VHP to fight against the threats faced by Hindu community in India and abroad. He mentioned that VHP has a great role in community service and should arise like Arjuna in Bhagavad Gita.

Prof. continued, V.H.P’s seva group is working on the very Hindu concept of “Let Prosperity and happiness prevail to everyone”. All service institutions run by VHP for destitute women, children and old aged people are working on this philosophy. Such Institutions provide free food, shelter and training on different areas that enables deprived people to develop a self-supporting life.

VHP State President B.R Balaraman was the chair on this inaugural function and State Join Secretary P. S Kashi Viswanathan introduced the dignitaries present in the function.

A session on paper-bag manufacturing was organised as a part of this meet. Seva shibiram (meet) will be concluded today and Kannur University Vice-Chancellor Dr. P. Chandra Mohan will be the chief guest on this occasion.
