KANNUR: The BJP has decided to organise a convention in Delhi on December 10 to draw national attention on the CPM violence in Kannur district.

Addressing mediapersons here on Tuesday, BJP state president P.K. Krishnadas said pictures and photographs showing CPM violence will be exhibited at the convention.

Victims of the CPM terror in the district will also attend the convention, he added. BJP national leaders L.K.Advani and Rajnath Singh will address the convention.

The BJP leader alleged that the LDF Government was trying to scuttle Sabarimala pilgrimage causing problems to the pilgrims.

The entire affairs of Sabarimala was steeped in corruption and this is evident from the scarcity of ‘Aravana’ prasadam, he said.

Krishnadas also demanded the dissolution of the Devaswom Board arguing that only believers of God should be included in it as members.

He said his party has decided to organise conferences of pilgrims on November 26 at Kottayam and Pathanamthitta to discuss the issue.

On December 7 the BJP will organise a march of the pilgrims to the office of the Devaswom Assistant Commissioner at Pathanamthitta. Government is getting an aggregate revenue of Rs. 2,000 crores from Sabarimala but has been doing nothing to provide facilities to the pilgrims, he said.
