Row over Jihadi encroachment to construct Masjid in Tamilnadu

Chennai: Tin fences were raised and a board was erected overnight in a barren Government land in Villivakkam, The Board read Noor-e-ilahi masjid!

A Group of More than 200 Jihadi’s encroached this Government property and started the construction of Masjid on 24th of December, Interestingly Government officials are closing their eyes. Either because of the fear of annoying Minority Sentiments or it is by the blessings of ruling Government.

This land belongs to the Revenue department. The encoroachment happened, while
Residents of Lakshmi nagar and Thiru nagar in Villivakkam was awaiting a Government order to build a park or community welfare centre.

Noticing the encroachment, local residents lodged complaints at Villivakkam police station and to district collector to liberate the property from jihadis. Perambur Thasildar Mr Palani urged to the fanatic mob to remove the fence erected and stop the construction of illegal Mosque, But the Jihadi’s are in no mood to listen to a Thahsildar.

Hindu Munnani leader Shri Ramagopalan warned of severe repercussions if the authorities are taking a soft stand towards this illegal encroachment.Local residents also mentioned to government officials that if the encroachment was not removed, they will start protesting untill it’s liberated. The Masjid commitee is headed by one Jihadi , Moideen who is adamant that they will construct the Masjid there in the Government property.
