Plot to kill L.K. Advani foiled

NEW DELHI : Intelligent sources disclosed that the 6 Lashkar men arrested today morning were planning to assassinate BJP leader L K Advani. According to intelligence agencies the Lashkar module arrested today morning in connection with the Rampur CRPF camp attack case, were plotting a bid on BJP Leader LK Advani’s life.

Lashkar men were targeting Advani’s rally, which was scheduled to be held in Rampur. Post the intelligence inputs of a possible terror attack, the BJP top brass decided to postpone Advani’s rally scheduled in Rampur.

Earlier Union Home Ministry had received intelligence inputs about a possible Fidayeen attack against L.K. Advani & Narendra Modi. It was also learnt that senior ISI functionaries had asked — Dawood Ibrahim — to kickstart activities in the country and target L K Advani & Narendra Modi first.
