The Ayyappa Seva Sangham working committee meeting held at Thiruvananthapuram chaired by president Thennala Balakrishna Pillai pointed out that the Government should not interfere with temple customs and practices, sangham vice-president D Vijayakumar said.
Temple customs and practices should come under the purview of the devotees and thantris, Vijayakumar said.
An Ayyappa Seva Sangham team led by president Thennala Balakrishna Pilllai would submit a memorandum to the Prime Minister seeking steps to declare Sabarimala as a national pilgrim centre.
The sangham would approach the Prime Minister and the Environment and Forest Minister for delinking Sabarimala from Periyar Tiger Reserve.
