CHENNAI: Velligiri, who lost his father in the Coimbatore serial blast and a witness in the case, filed two petitions in Madras Highcourt.

First petition seeking death penalty for 43 persons, who were awarded only life imprisonment by the special court and the second one challenging the release of Jihadi Terrorist leader Abdul Nasser Mahdani .

The petitions were filed by BJP advocates, including B Rabu Manohar and T V Krishnamachari.
