Hindu Bhaktha Sangamam – A Historic Moment in Mumbai.

Mumbai: The Hindu Bhaktha Sangamam organised by various Malayali temples and Hindu social organisations last week bought  a new face to Hindu’s fight for religious freedom in India’s business capital.

 

Concerns over the discrimination of Hindu rights and freedom by Central as well as various state governments were raised in the meet. A unanimous report condemning Governments efforts to loot Hindu temples, Math and related properties was passed in the meet. The report gives a clear warning that Hindus are not going to live like ‘neutrals’ when their temples are continuously targeted and religious believes were ridiculed. 

 

Swami Vedananda Saraswati, while doing the inauguration, urged Hindus to pass the legacy of ‘Sanathana Dharma’ to coming generation as this is the only solution for many social, political and economic issues in modern world.

 

Sri Kummanam Rajasekharan, State General Secretary of Hindu Aikya Vedi, said rather living as disunited and unconscious bunch of people, Hindus should unite irrespective of caste, region and colour to safe guard our wealth and religious freedom. This is the need of the hour, he continued. The on going discrimination of Hindus in various arena of life is mainly because of our disunity. in Sulthanbetheri from believers. We saw the same victorious moment in Palakad when the ‘Secular’ government tried to cease the power and loot the Hanuman temple. Thousands of conscious Hindus including women and children marched with unity for that great cause.

 

We thawed many such efforts when ever we stood together. Many issues we face today emphasize the need of Hindu unity and more vigil on our religious issues.

 

Dr N Gopalakrishnan, Director of Indian Institute of Scientific Heritage mentioned about the issues Hindus face due to organised mass conversion by Christians and Muslims. He suggested that Hindus should open their heart to accept more non-Hindus to our religion and mentioned that majority does count in a democratic country like

Hindu Janjagratha Samthi member Ramesh Shinday, A.K.G Nair, Mannannor Raveendran was also present in the function. The committee has decided to conduct this event annually with more participation on coming years.
