Are we living at the mercy of Pak terrorists?

published on March 3, 2010

Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, the person in command of anti-Bharat terrorist organization JuD (Jamait Ud Dawa), recently said Pakistan will have to fight a war at all costs if New Delhi is not prepared to hold further talks. This comment came just a few days after the foreign secretary-level meeting of two nations (Feb 25, 2010), which Bharat took initiative, concluded. Another remark also came from our own respectable Minister of States, Foreign Affairs, Shasi Tharoor, was that Saudi Arabia, a Muslim nation and the best friend of Pakistan have to play an interlocutor between the problems of Bharat and Pakistan. What does this all mean?

Despite all Pakistan sponsored terrorist activities Bharat yet again knocked the door of Pakistan to hold talks. What bestowed courage to Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, the mastermind of Mumbai terror attack 26/11, to make these comments? The recent talks held on Feb 25 at New Delhi between Bharat and Pakistan conveys a lucid message to the international community that Bharat kneel down before Pakistan. Hafiz Saeed, one of the founder members of terrorist outfit Lashkar-e Toiba (Let) also indubitably said that he should recruit more and more people to Kashmir for Jihad against Bharat.

After losing nearly 1,00,000 lives in 22 years of insurgency in Kashmir issue, unfortunately Bharat still not realized that talking to Pakistan is blind man’s bluff. Hafiz Saeed’s comments now prove that Feb 25 meeting is the worst diplomatic blunder Bharat have committed this year. The government of Bharat also forgets the war proclamation by the terrorist outfits just before the Pune terror strike. The same JuD chief Hafiz Saeed then screams, One Mumbai is not enough”, his deputy Abdur Rehman Makki asserts, “Muslims dying of thirst would drink blood of India”. Now Hafiz again challenged Bharat by giving directions to Pak: be prepared for a war if Bharat withdraw from talks. What does it mean? Are we the subordinates of Pakistan or these terror groups? Our politicians and governments are proving that we are under the mercy of them. The government lacks guts and wits to deal with Pakistan.

In this intricate situation another man, a minister of India, Shasi Tharoor, invited Islamist nation Saudi Arabia to solve problem between Bharat and Pakistan. The Minister’s stand is paradoxical to India’s official policy that have been carrying since 1947 that the country never like the inclusion of a third party in its problem’s with Pakistan. But from a minister like Tharoor, these kinds of blunder statements are obvious, so just leave it. But the government should always remember the truth that India is a sovereign country and we are not living at the mercy of the failed state Pakistan or terrorists camping there. India should have to adopt a strategic stand in Pakistan issue. While in talks be firm but don’t forget that sometimes dialogue may not be the solution …
