Influx of Kashmiri Jihadi’s in Kerala posing a security Threat
Kochi
: When the Jihadi Kashmiri Muslims are lamenting about ‘Kashmiriyat’ and expelling Hindus from there, A Section of Kashmiri Jihadi’s are engaged in sowing the seeds of hatred and terrorism across the nation.
Kashmiri Jihadi’s who posed themselves as handicrafts merchants are slowly capturing Kerala. After establishing their businesses in tourist centres they are now buying houses, business establishments and large quantities of land at key areas. They also established close links with local Jihadi’s and Real estate Mafia
The tactics they employ is to buy business establishments in Tourist centres first and slowly they venture into real estate business. Some government officials and politicians are helping them out of the way in their business.
The major bases of Kashmiris in Kerala today are Kochi, Kovalam, Thekkadi, Varkala, Alappuzha, Kumaly and Shanghummugham in Trivandrum.
The intelligence agencies have found out that the initial Kashmiri settlers at Kovalam are in possession of even Ration Cards .Apart from handicraft business they are also involved in drug peddling and anti-national activities.
In Kerala there are more than 600 Kashmiri Handicraft Business centres. Most of them operate without any license from Corporation, Municipality and Panchayats. They also don’t possess any license from the labour department and registration from Sales tax department. Hence the government does not have the exact number of such business establishments operating in Kerala.
Although the government recognized Kairali-Surabhi are the only authorized centres for the sales of genuine handicrafts, most of the Kashmiri shops display fake boards that they are authorized by the government.
In the southern Kerala they are mainly based in Tourist centres. But in the northern Kerala one can find them as customers of handicrafts, curios and other products and as real estate buyers.
Kochi
is becoming the most prominent base of Kashmiris in Kerala. They are based mainly in heritage centres like FortKochi and Mattanchery. There are around hundred sales outlets owned by Kashmiris in this area. Recently they purchased a heritage house at Paravaanamukku from a Parsi merchant for 3 crore rupees. A building to run a small scale Kashmiri handicrafts centre at Mattanchery was taken on lease for a monthly rent of Rs40,000/-
The sales bill given in most of these shops have addresses of Srinagar.Due to this the tourists are unable to take any legal recourse when they are cheated. In the last two years ,six complaints were lodged in the police station against Kashmiris. But no serious enquiry was conducted by the police on these complaints. Â
Many people think that the intrusion of Kashmiris would pose a big security and economical threat to Kerala in the future. They say that the government must take immediate steps to curb the growing influence of Kashmiris in Kerala.
Some people sense a hidden agenda and they suspect that the Kashmiris might be preparing the ground for terrorist activities in Kerala in the future.
