‘Facilitating’ minority welfare- AP style

: In lines of Marriages conducted to poor Hindus under ‘Kalyanamasthu’ programme, a programme will be initiated for the marriages of Muslims, say AP government.

 

What is wrong in it? – If secular Government is organising marriages of poor Hindus they should conduct the same for Muslims and Christians – Says the Secular advocates

 
 
 

Those who points to ‘Kalyanamasthu’ programme to justify Government initiative should also remember that , the funds for Kalyanamasthu is given by Tirumala- Tirupathi Temples and not from the state coffin.

 

But here now in AP, As per this new Government initiative Rs 15,000 per head  will be donated to conduct marriages of Muslim youth. It i snot yet clear whether the support will be for both bride and groom. If so per marriage 30,000 Rupees! CM has decided to allocate an initial budget of Rs.5 crore in the review of Minority Welfare Ministry proceedings. 

 

The first batch of Christians bound for pet project of the CM Samuel Reddy – Pilgrimage to Bethlehem will leave in August, that too at the cost of public money.
