Thanks to Secular Governance – Kalahasti temple tower collapsed

Chitoor/Andhra Pradesh: Thanks to excellent governance of Government controlled HR&CE and ASI in maintaining temples in the state, The famous Srikalahasthi Temple’s renowned Rajagopuram came down
crashing, exploding bombs in the hearts of the believers. An example
what ‘democracy’ delivered to the Hindus, the majority of this land.

No human casualty has been reported but reports suggests that more than 200 monkeys could have been buried in the debris. The crack was visible over past few days but no action was taken by the authorities to protect the historical tower. Shopkeepers were evacuated from the area prior to the collapse but no one bothered to evacuate the monkeys from the spot , once again points to how selfish the society had turned into.

At a time when the entire state is celebrating the 500th coronation year of the emperor, his dream structure has been dashed to pieces. The gopuram had been in trouble for over a decade with stones and clay falling off from the structure. A few years ago, a tourist was killed when a stone fell on him. Though devotees had complained about the tower’s condition, the temple authorities did nothing .

The gopuram, with seven stories, was built in 1516 and stood to the right side of the temple and was a testimony to the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Kings. The Vijaya Nagara emperors took upon themselves the task of renovating all ancient Temples in Tamil Nadu ransacked by the Jihadi hordes of the Madurai Sultanate – called by the historians as the Dark Age of Tamilians.

Citing the reasons for the sudden collapse, Nagaraj a former director of the Archaeological Department, lightning strikes and the weak bonding of aging Lime must have caused it- without mentioning the handwork of the Secular State that has been usurping the Hindu devotees’ money and casting these ancient architectural heritages into gross negligence.

Hindu Maha Sabha and the Hindu Munnani condemned the grave neglect and callous state of mismanagement by the bogus secular state.
 
A bronze statue of the emperor was erected at the base of the gopuram last year.
Interestingly, the statue, just 10 feet away from the structure, did not suffer any damage and the debris now lies at the emperor’s feet.

Reflecting the state of neglect and apathy of both the HRCE and the ASI, this irreparable loss of our historical heritage built by Krishnadevaraya in the mid 16nth century, has crumbled to dust, and lies now in one sad, big heap and rubble.
