Home Minister finally resigned

NEW DELHI
: The weakest Home Minister ever seen in India finally quits his post. Patil has resigned today in the wake of the Mumbai Islamic terrorist strikes.

The 74-year-old Patil was inducted into the Union Cabinet despite his defeat from Latur in Maharashtra in the last Lok Sabha election.  He has been widely blamed by all political parties, media including Congress party leaders over his handling of the internal security situation in the country.
