Modi launches his prestigious CM Fellowship Program
Gujarat: Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched his prestigious CM Fellowship Program on the occasion of Dushera, Monday, 28th September. This scheme being one of its kinds was announced on Independence Day.
This program is the key initiative of Gujarat Government to attract youth and provide them with an opportunity to study and be a part of Government’s administrative departments and other social sectors. For a minimum period of one year, young professionals will work closely with top officials and share their views on the functioning of various departments. It aims at educating the youth about Government’s operations and challenges, give them insights into the queries and issues that are put forward by people and understand the hurdles or roadblocks that are encountered on the path of development. It will also help them appreciate the need for development and efficiency and hence allow with an opportunity to improve the drooping HDI (Human Development Index).
A dedicated website inviting applications from young talents has also been launched on Monday. This website invites youth that exemplifies distinctive knowledge, potential and the zeal to experience the intricate functioning of various departments embodied in the Government.
Chief Minister sharing his views on the program he mentioned, ”This is a chance for the country’s best young achievers to take on the highest challenges. You can take a step to change the future. I welcome you to contribute to transformation in social development.”
