Veteran Swayamsevak Dr.Shastry passes away
It is with profound sorrow and regret to inform the demise of veteran RSS activist Dr.Sripati Shastry.
Dr.Shastryji passed away this afternoon at Pune. He was 75. His ‘Antim Sanskars’ will be held in Pune tomorrow. For over a year, he was unable to do any pravas or program owing to the chronic diabetes. Ma. Shastryji had travelled in many countries like USA, UK, Kenya, South Africa and Singapore for Vishwa Vibhag programs.
Dr. Shastry was the head of history department in university of Pune.
Born at Harihar in mysore district in Karnataka on 19th June 1935, he joined RSS at the age of 12 years. He was awarded with gold medal in MA. He was influenced by Late Shr. Yadavrao Joshi, Shr H V Sheshadri & K Surynarayanrao.
Dr. Shastry was knows about his highly intellectual speeches on various regional, national & international languages.
