94th birthday of Swami Athuradas

Swami Athuradas is a noted Sage in the Theerthapada Parampara started by Jagadguru Theerthapada Paramabhattaraka Shanmugadasa Sree Vidydhiraja Chattamby Swamikal. He is the founder of Kurichi Athurasramam.

One cannot forget the yeoman services rendered by Swamy Athuradas for the uplift of Homeopathy in Kerala. He founded a Homeopathy college at Kurichi near Kottayam in 1958 and later handed over to Nair Service Society. This is the Athurasramam N.S.S Homeopathic Medical college, the first Homeopathic Medical College in Kerala. Swami Athuradas is the patron of Ayroor – Cherukolpuzha Hindu Matha Parishat an annual Hindu convention held on the sandy stretches of Pampa river (http://www.hmmp.org/). Swami Athuradas was never interested in fame.

Swami Athuradasji’s birthday celebrations started at Kurichi Athurasram with Bhagavatha Sapthaham. Swami Poornaswaroopanandapuri will inagurate the birthday function and NSS general secretery P.K Narayana Panicker will preside the function.
