9 days ‘Sibiram’ at Sabarimala

KOTTAYAM: A state-level Ayyappa Dharma Padana Sibiram, conceived as an in-depth exercise to teach the dharma, tradition and rituals connected with Sabarimala, will be held at Sastha temple, Erumeli, from August 18 to 26.
Travancore Devaswom Board president G Raman Nair will inaugurate the nine-day Sibiram on August 19 at 10 am.
Temple art forms such as Sasthampaattu, Kalamezhuthu and Ayyappan Theeyattu will be performed on all days of the Sibiram, said organiser Kummanam Rajasekharan. Swami Prabhakaraananda Saraswathy will be the chief acharya of the Sibiram.
