Without reading ‘Bhagawa’ and without seeing Bhagawat…..

Thiruvananthapuram: It was requesting an article in ‘Bhagawa’, the special supplement that Janmabhumi daily would be publishing on the occasion of RSS Mahasanghik in Kollam on 24th of this month, that this correspondent met Sisupalanji at his home at Karamana. Visibly he was not in poor health. While reminiscing his half-a-century old experience in the Sangh, his face shone with pride, enthusiasm and joy.

He shared experiences including that while meeting with RSS chiefs beginning with Guruji, easy ways to deal with those who find fault with the Sangh, and optimism on the future of Sangh parivar organizations. He then led me to his personal library which has got a collection of thousands of paper clippings with news about the Sangh that appeared in various newspapers and pamphlets, everything specially bound and retained. It is a big asset to those who learn the Sangh’s history.

Sisupalanji also shared his keenness to participate in the Mahasanghik at Kollam. Ganavesh has been kept ready. He said he does not bother much about health. He needs someone’s help to sit in the car and travel. He added that he would need somebody’s help there also. He was quite anxious to hear Mohan Bhagawatji’s speech directly.

Before departing he did not forget to remind me that if I were to write something in his name, he would like to see it before publishing.

He was particular that whatever is going to be written on the Sangh should be accurate. On showing the proof, he was happy and commented, “whatever I mentioned has been written beautifully and better than my expectation. Give me a copy immediately on launch of ‘Bhagawa’. ” ‘Bhagawa’ is getting released tomorrow at Kollam, but Sisupalanji did not either wait to read his article in ‘Bhagawa’ or to hear the speech of Mohanji Bhagawat in the Mahasanghik on 24th.
