Thiruvananthapuram: Convenor of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Kshetra Samrakshana Samiti P Sudhakaran has sought dismissal of evangelist chief secretary Jiji Thomson.

Exposing Jiji Thomson as the agent of the church who aimed at destroying the temple city of Thiruvananthapuram with his Operation Anantha and christianizing it to Mar-Sleevapuram, Sudhakaran said that the former had acted in a way that destroyed the dignity of a government post and voiced concern about a possible government support to his temple destruction ideas.

“Jiji Thomson had the master agenda of destroying Sree Ananthapadmanabha Swamy temple and thereby Christianize the temple city of Thiruvananthapuram to Mar- Sleevapuram. He therefore masterminded Operation Anantha to execute the nefarious agenda. The aim was to destroy the ancient temples of the city which stand testimony to a cultural heritage that is age old. He has turned into an evangelist, working on behalf of the priests of Pala,”said Sudhakaran.

Pointing out that a chief secretary should work towards maintaining communal harmony by respecting all religions and thereby uphold dignity of the government post assigned to him, Sudhakaran said that Jiji Thomson has “degraded himself by overlooking the stature of the post, choosing to act for evangelizing and conversion.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy should act at the earliest and take necessary step to suspend Jiji Thomson from his post. His continuing in the post is a threat to the democratic secular fabric of the country and will slur the country’s image,” he added.
