What is wrong in Vellapaly’s Statement, Quips Kerala High Court

The HC has given anticipatory bail for SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan in the case alleging him to have indulged in delivering a speech that fans hatred. The Court sought to know the objectionable elements in his speech.

The bench headed by Justice Bhavadasan has directed Vellappally to give his statement before the investigating officer, on 10/January. The bench has directed the granting of bail on the same day.

The CD displaying Vellappally’s speech was played in the Court room, following which the Judge sought to know from T Asif Ali, Director General of Prosecution who appeared on behalf of the state government. “Isn’t Vellappally’s criticism directed towards the government?”, the Court sought to know.
