PALAKKAD: The state-level delegates session of the Viswa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will be held at the Aswathi Kalayana Mandapam in Vadakkanthara here from July 24 to 27.

VHP state president B R Balaraman and district president M Rajan told mediapersons here on Monday that the meet will discuss the various issues faced by the Hindu community.

They said that while the VHP was against fake godmen, the CPM’s act of categorising even genuine sanyasis as fake is unwarranted.

The VHP meet will discuss the move of the LDF Government to bring Hindu religious institutions under government control.

They decried the act of the Jammu and Kashmir Government to take back the land given to the Amarnath shrine by bowing to the pressures of the Muslim extremists.

They said that the VHP plans to increase the strength of the ‘Hanuman sena’ to ensure the security of Hindu temples and to preserve the culture to one lakh persons.

Among those who will be present at the delegates session are VHP international secretary general Praveen Tagodia, all-India vice-president K V Madanan Master and all-India joint secretary P S Kasi Viswanathan.
