SABARIMALA: The Viswa Hindu Parishad has demanded immediate dismissal of the Travancore Devaswom Board for its failure in providing basic facilities to Sabarimala pilgrims.

Both the State Government and the TDB had failed to provide basic facilities including drinking water to the hapless pilgrims who are forced to stand in the queue for 10 to 12 hours for the darsan, the VHP said in a statement.

For the first time in the history of Sabarimala, pilgrims were forced to return without aravana prasadam and appam.

The VHP urged the authorities to handover the administration of the Sabarimala shrine to the devotees, the statement said.
