Vedaratna puraskar to Vadakkumpatt Narayanan

Former president of Vadakkemadam Brahmaswam Trissur, Vadakkumpatt Narayananhasbeen selected for this this years Vedaratna puraskar constituted by  noted Vedic research centre, Kasyapa Veda Research Foundation. The award constitue a cash prize of Rs.25551/, certificate and a memento which will be presented to Mr.Narayanan on 26th May 2013 at Kashyapashramam, Kozhikode.

Kasyapa Veda Reserch Foundation headed by noted Vedic scholar Acharya M R Rajesh introduced Vedaratna puraskar to recognize persons, institutions that protect, promote and propagate vedic knowledge and who create a just atmosphere for the promotion of Vedas and Sanatana Dharma.

Shri Vadkkumpatt Narayayan served the centuries old traditional veda school Brahmaswom math Trissur for the last twenty  years, and brought name, fame and regular income for the veda school to survive.

Traditionally a rigveda school, Shri Vadakkumpattu Narayanan introduced Yajurveda and Unique recension  of Samaveda in to it. Otherwise, Jaimineeya Samaveda was at the  edge of extinction in Kerala.

The award will be presented to him by Acharya M R Rajesh Namboodiri.
