V S, Pinarayi loyalists hold parallel meetings
PALAKKAD: Groupism in the CPM has taken a
turn for the worse in the Ottapalam and Shoranur belt as loyalists of
Achuthanandan continued to be sidelined and pressurised by the official
group to surrender on every issue.
On Sunday the village unit of
the DYFI in Palappuram held two parallel meetings to honour the
students who came out with top marks at the SSLC and Plus-II
examinations. Both the groups printed separate notices. Initially, it
was the village unit of the DYFI controlled by the Achuthanandan group
which decided to organise a function to honour students as in previous
years and invited V S loyalist S Ajay Kumar MP to inaugurate the
function.
Immediately the Ottapalam Area Committee controlled by
the Pinarayi loyalists and Hamza MLA and Suresh swung into action and
demanded that the function should be inaugurated by Hamza. When the V S
controlled DYFI committee declined the request, they organised another
function in Palappuram itself which was inaugurated by Hamza MLA.
