Unsolvable Criminal Cases

Quite contrary to the popular perception of many in Kerala, CBI has not achieved anything much by filing a charge sheet in the Abhaya case. It is a hopeless case in which all evidences have been meticulously destroyed by the followers and well-wishers of the institution of Knanaya Church . Almost two decades of relentless efforts of political bigwigs (like Maani) and officials, with millions of dollars spent on bribing all those involved, no power on earth can get a conviction for20the arrested 2Fathers & 1Sister combination for the gruesome murder of another poor sister. Sister Abhaya will always remain an ‘unsatiated’ ghost in the minds of all church members and the common conscience of Kerala public.

The same arguments holds good for Chekanoor Maulavi. The only difference is in the currency and source of bribery amount. If it is dollars in the case of Sister Abhaya, it is Gulf money & Rials that has shut the eyes of justice in the case of the Maulavi. However, the perpetrators of Maulavi murder have proved to be much more resourceful than the church. Neither the dead body of the Maulavi nor the living bodies of his killers could be traced by CBI so far. In contrast, the two cases are symbolic of the nature and characteristics of the operation strategy of the two groups and the unlimited resources at their command. Both are equally rich in money, but the latter has immense resources at their command for even export of dead bodies!!

The mafia power of the two organized religious communities in Kerala is revealed once again in these two criminal cases.  If the LDF governments cannot move even an inch, the UDF governments (which includes the two mafias) will only move in the reverse direction. One of the biggest mistakes of the NDA government at the centre was its apathy in these two criminal cases. If CBI was given a free hand then, both the organized mafia communities could have been exposed in Kerala. But the present status is much beyond all those. No elected government can challenge these two organized ‘minority’ communities in Kerala. Their ‘own’ State will continue to exterminate any insider who dissents the ditacts of mafia leaderships. Very soon, they will start dictating to the ‘majority’ community also.
