University status to Vicharakendram, Inauguration on April 28th

Thiruvananthapuram: On its glorious twenty fifth year of uncompromising and dedicated service in enriching and propagating ‘Aarsha Bharatha’ legacy and its contemporary importance to people in India and abroard, Bharathiya Vichara Kendram is honoured with deemed University status. This is being given by University of Maharshi Dayananda Saraswathi, Maharashtra.

Students in Kerala now gets an opportunity to do their research studies (PhD) on Finance, History, Political science, Philosophy, Sanskrit and various management topics.

‘Bharathiya Institute of Advanced Studies and Research’ new unit under Vicharakendram will provide these facilities said the Director P. Parameswaran. Inaugural function of the Institute is scheduled on April 28th. Political leaders, Eminent scholars and Academicians including Rajasthan Education Minister Dr. Mohanlal Chippa, Vice Chancellor (V.C) of Indira Gandhi Open University Dr. V.N Rajashekaranpilla, V.C of Kerala University Dr. M.K Ramachandran will attend the function.

Such an effort from Bharathiya Vichara Kendram is considered as promising, when Kerala is wandering over superfluous philosophy and losing its social values by brushing aside its heritage.

People tend to move away from the concept of ‘Keralities’ and are unaware about History, freedom struggle and our great heroes. Various programmes are organised on the jubilee celebration with a theme ‘Freedom struggle and ignored heroes of Kerala’ mentioned P. Parameswaran.

He alleged that Kerala University was reluctant to approve Bharathiya Vicharakendram’s research studies in Management when they give approval for many new and small organisations on the basis of political bias and vested interest.
