‘Truths’ under Mullaperiyar dam

If you notice the main players in the Mullaperiyar game viz. Maani, Joseph, Sohan Roy, Manorama and of course the Church, the plot is very clear. Considering the present status of each one of these characters and their primary interests, the present ‘hullabullah’ is nothing but their most logical and determined step. Let us consider each of them:-
 
1.      K.M. Maani is in his final appearance in Govt. He desperately wants to install his KunjuMaani firmly in the political saddle before he goes. Otherwise he will also become a non-entity like Francis George (son of K.M. George) and P.C. Thomas (son of P.T. Chako).

2.      P.J. Joseph is also in his final phase. He will be recorded in history as a ‘chorien’ or ‘scratcher’ if he goes like this. Moreover he has ditched LDF for no reason and they will not forgive him.

3.      Sohan Roy has never ever made a film of his own.

4.      75% of the new breed of self-financing professional colleges is owned by the Church and number of Engineering seats lying vacant is increasing every year. Most students are opting for Tamil Nadu collges like Amrita, VIT etc.

5.      MRF is no more lucrative for the Manorama family and the whole evil empire can be run more efficiently on the black money deposits in foreign banks
 
If one understands and admits the above realities, the sudden spurt of panic about a 150 year old Mullaperiyar dam that is about to burst is a well thought out strategy on the part of all those involved. Also remember that all these entities have everything to gain and nothing to lose. The collateral damage it will do to the Sabarimala pilgrimage will make each one of these shady characters eligible for a Chevalier title in the very near future. Do not be surprised if it is even a sainthood – St.Maani.
 
In addition, imagine the financial fall-out from a Rs. 1000 crores project that would come up in the form of a new dam. With about 90% people in the vicinity from ‘our own category’ the electoral advantages for Kerala Christian Congress and Kunjumaani can be tremendous.
