Three BJP activists suffer serious stab injuries, Chalad, Meenkunnu tense

KANNUR: Tension prevails at Chalad and Meenkunnu near Azhikode in the district following attack against BJP activists. Three BJP workers, who sustained serious stab injuries at Meenkunnu, were admitted to the Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode.
Country-bombs were hurled at the police who reached the scene of violence. Police have filed cases against 20 CPM activists in connection with the incident.
Bus service to the Meenkunnu and Neerkadavu region came to a standstill following the incidents on Monday.
A hartal was observed at Chalad on Monday following the incidents.
