Thousands march against RSS leader arrest

KOCHI: Thousands of RSS, HAV, VHP, BJP, ABVP, BMS and other Sangh Parivar activists staged a march to all district Collectorate & DIG Offices in Kerala today against the arrest of RSS Vibhag Prachar Pramukh Valsan Thillankeri.


 


RSS Prantha Kariyavaha A.R. Mohanan inaugurated the Dharna before the DIG Office in Kochi. The Police stopped the marchers near the DIG Office, where BJP state secretary Shobha Surendran addressed them. Speaking to the mass, Shobha Surendran said that if the Home Minister continues to target innocent nationalist leaders in Kerala, the People Of Court would take up the matter.Sobhana Surendran said if the Anti-Goonda Ordinance had not been withdrawn, Bineesh, son of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, would have been the first person to be arrested under that.


RSS leader Valsan Thillankery’s arrest is the latest example of CPM’s politics of intolerance, RSS prantha saha karyavahak P Gopalan Kutty told by inaugurating the March in Kozhikode.Valsan’s arrest is an outcome of the CPM-NDF conspiracy,He added.


 


In Kottayam district RSS State leader K B Sreekumar inaugurated the Dharna. BJP leaders K G Rajmohan, Radhakrishna and RSS District President K U Santhakumar and other leaders participated in the march.


 





The march, which has been held in all the 14 districts across the state, was the culmination of first phase of the agitation called by the RSS in the state.
