Palakkad (Kerala): The move to sell by bid, More than a century old Holy Chariot of a Temple called Kalpatthi has been blocked by the heavy protest of Hindu Organisation here in Palakkad district of Kerala.

Before 4 decades the people of Lakshminarayanpuram village gave this chariot to the Famous Kalpatthi Temple. The chariot is built with heavy wood with age old and ancient carvings of Indian Temple architecture and only because of that it is so valuable and also not countable in the sense said by the Hindu leaders.

Kalpatti is now under the status of Archeological survey of India and because of that not even a single house of common man can’t be replaced or do maintenance without the permission of the authority. In between this situation the temple management made a move secretly to bid the chariot by just pasting a little notice in front of the temple.
