Terrorists having free run along Kerala coast

via HK Correspondent published on January 30, 2006

THIRUVANAMTHAPURAM: The Coast Guard Station Commander Kajol Roy told media persons here on Sunday that the Kerala coast has become a safe haven for terrorists and anti-national forces. “Terrorists have almost taken over the long coastline of the state,” said Kajal Roy. The revelation assumes significance in the backdrop of the denial by the state government of a plot of land to the Coast Guard  to open their observation unit at Beypore. It is reported that former Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty is against the opening up of the Coast Guard station at Beypore since that may hinder the activities of National Development Front (NDF) an Islamic terrorist outfit, of which the former is one of the chief patrons.
