Neyyatinkara: The fascist Marxist organisation DYFI, which had encroached upon the Perungadavila Trikadambu Mahadeva temple premises and build a bus waiting shelter got a slap in the face when the local devotees of the temple organised themselves and freed the temple land of the illegal structure.

Earlier the Hindu Aikya Vedi under the leadership of its district secretary Shri. S.K.Jayakumar had registered a complaint with the police against the construction of this illegal bus shelter. But since this Panchayat Samiti was governed by the Marxist party, the Samiti members and the Police kept silent on this issue and the police was not willing to charge any criminal case against the DYFI thugs.

Following this inaction by the Panchayat Samiti members and the police, the devotees of this place decided not to suffer in silence and organised themselves and got rid of the illegal structure and cleared the temple premises. Due to the unrest situation in the area, the Neyyatinkara DYSP held talks with the two groups and it was agreed upon for no one to meddle with temple land here after.
