Parappanangadi: Miscreants have again swung into action by desecrating the Pisharikkal Sree Durga Devi Temple of Kadalundi with rotting animal flesh. It has been reported that remnants of carcass were strewn in front of the sanctom sanctorum and the sacred stone in front of Lord Ayyapa’s ‘nada’.

“There is a desperate bid to hush up the matter stating that dogs could have dragged in the carcass inside the temple. But the animal waste happens to be over 10 kgs, which is definitely not the handiwork of dogs. It is definitely the work of miscreants and anti-social elements,” said sources.

A complaint has been registered with the police following the intervention of Viswa Hindu Parishad. “The presence of Jihadists who are trying to upset the peace in the area is escalating in the area. This is definitely a move to wound religious sentiments,” said local VHP leaders.
