Tear filled adieu to swayamsevak Bijukumar
Thiruvananthapuram: Biju Kumar, the swayamsevak worker who was murdered by CPM killers was given a tear-filled farewell by the people of his native place.
Biju Kumar(24) of ‘shiva bhavan’ at Kalikkal in Kodugannor who was murdered in the streets by thugs of CPM was cremated in the presence of thousands of people at the Thycaud cremation grounds Saturday.
The hartal in protest against this incident organised by the Hindu organisations was total. The body after post-mortem was accompanied by a large motorcade and brought to Biju’s house for the people to pay homage. Thousands lined up the streets to see this young man for a last time.
The sight of Biju’s two year old son playing around the house unaware that his father will never be there to look after this tiny tot again, brought tears to each and every one’s eyes present there. The relatives of Biju was at a loss of words to console his parents and wife. After receiving homage from near and dear ones, Biju’s body was cremated at Thycaud cremation grounds.
The Hindu aikya vedi state chairman, J.Sisupalan, RSS pranth shareerik shikshan pramukh A.M.Krishnan; BJP leaders P.P.Mukundan, B.K.Sekhar, M.S.Kumar; DCC president Mohan Kumar. Other leaders of HAV, J.Padmakumar,M.Gopal, RSS mahanagar sangh chalak Prof. N.Gopikuttan, vibhag pracharak S. Sudarshan were present at Thycaud crematorium.
