Swayamsevaks from 5000 Sakhas will participate in Mahasanghik

KOLLAM: A total of one lakh Swayamnsevaks in uniform from 5000 Sakhas of Kerala will participate in the Kerala Pranthasanghik of the RSS, which will be held at the Asramam maidan here on February 24.

Addressing a press conference here, RSS Prantha Karyavah P Gopalankutty Master said that this was the first time that the RSS was holding the meet of more than one lakh volunteers in uniform at one place at a particular time.

Around 50,000 RSS sympathisers from the districts of Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam will also attend the meet, he said. The sanghik will begin with the dhwajarohan (flaghoisting) at 5 p.m. The mass drill of the RSS volunteers will be held after that.

Sanyasins and prominent citizens will be present at the dais on the occasion.

The dais, constructed at a height of 36 ft on the maidan, will have a seating capacity of 200.
