Swayamsevak Vinod Murder: Life Sentence for Popular Front Jihadists

Mavelikkara: 5 jihadists have been convicted in the murder of RSS Vallikkunnam Mandalam Shareerik Shikshan Pramukh Chenkilathu Vinod. The five, who are activists of Popular Front of India, have been awarded life imprisonment.
The verdict has been pronounced by the Additional District Court, Mavelikkara. The life term has been awarded to Najeeb, Shamer, Naushad, Shihabuddhin and Nizam.
Vinod was murdered in 2007, on the night of 23 December. The cold blooded deed was committed, as he was returning from a football match. The jihadists, who were astride on bikes hacked Vinod to death.
