Suppress the Violence in Kasargode

via Pradeep published on November 16, 2009

Kasargode: Violence needs to be suppressed with an iron hand at Kasaragod. If the government acceeds to the demands of IUML leaders violence will repeat.

In Kasaragod whenever an IUML meet takes place vandals surface and destroy flag masts of CPI (M) and BJP and some times of other parties too. The youth of IUML will attack shops and passing vehicles and will create terror. This has happened in past too. Remember the incidents occurred when Cherkkulam Abdulla became a minister way back.

Some of the local newspaper oweners (eveningers) from Kasaragod may go any extent to tarnish police and glorify criminals. But the police should also take caution not to attack or antagonise the innocent. I had seen them beating passengers in buses but bowing before IUML thugs.

The only way to ensure peace there is to control hawala lobby which is funding all anti national activities in Kasaragod. The hawala leaders are respectable lot there. Arrest them. Expose their real face. Appoint efficient police officers at Kasaragod instead of Kasaragod being relegated as a place for those who facing punishment transfer and as a place to punish officials owing allegiance to opposition parties.

It is a continuing affair at Kasaragod. The BJP should demand a judicial enquiry into the recurring violence, police mafia nexus and anti national activities in Kasaragod.
