‘Stop being Guinea Pigs in the hands of Political parties’ – Sasikala teacher to Hindus

published on May 23, 2012

Kollam: “Hindus, should stop themselves from being used as mere showcase pieces of various political parties,” said State President of Hindu Aikya Vedi PK Sasikala Teacher. She was addressing a gathering at Chinnakada Press Club Maidan, in connection with a public meeting organized by the ‘March for Social Justice’.

“The State meet of the Communist Party held at Kozhikode roped in people of the socially backward section and cast them as convenient dummies to hold their flags and sloganeer for their leaders. And in all innocence, they did execute the role assigned by the party with great zeal. But later they realized the folly. Throughout the entire meet, they realized this fact. What was spoken at the meet was nothing related to them. The meet focused on the issue of the granting of 10% reservation to those of the Muslim community and how it could be implemented. It was even pointed out in the most malicious manner how the reservation could conveniently be snipped from the quota currently allotted to members of scheduled sections,” observed Sasikala Teacher.

“The Hindu society is replete with numerous sections that have, by now, exhausted themselves to tears, by voicing out their grievances. They have now awakened to the fact that they have been mere guinea pigs for over centuries, in the furthering of various ideologies. They have not realized the fact that they were merely being taken advantage of!! But now, the realization of being used as a scapegoat has dawned on them. It has been over 60 years since India won her freedom from the British imperialists. But the Hindu community has not yet been granted its liberty from the fake and so called seculars. They have not been able enjoy their independence from the combined forces of fundamentalist religions,” she said.

“The Hindu community is being drained of its life blood by parties like CPM and Congress. If they are so concerned about their welfare, why is it that children of those who belong to scheduled castes receive a paltry amount of Rs 140 as scholarship? Is it not ironical that children of the Muslim community receive their concessions and scholarships in hefty amounts? Do u think this discrimination is happening without ever being brought to the notice of CPM party congress or Oomen Chandy’s Congress Party? This has to end. That is our demand. Nothing less! Children should not be regimented at any cost,” said Sasikala Teacher, reiterating that the current scenario of humiliation and utter disregard which has been prevailing in Kerala must undergo a revolutionary change.

The meeting was presided over by treasurer of SN Trust Dr. N Jayadevan. The inauguration of Shanthanandagiri Meeting of Mangaadu Ashram was also rendered. Those who aired their views clear and loud at the meet were Kummanom Rajashekharan, Brahmachari Bhargav Ram, Thuravoor Suresh, ES Biju, KR Kannan, G Surendran, KG Bhaskaran, Mohan Unnithan, PK Bahuleyan, Advocate V Padmanabhan and Lisha.
