State Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has reiterated that Naxal presence in Kerala seems to have taken strong roots in 6 districts.

“There is Maoist activity in in and around forest areas of Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargode,” said Ramesh Chennithala.

“All necessary steps have been taken following Intelligence reports that confirmed Maoist presence. Commandos who have received special training have been deployed in the area to ensure safety and security of the locals,” he said.
