PALAKKAD: BJP state president P K Krishnadas has said that the state has become a launching pad for executing extremist activities throughout the country.

He was speaking after inaugurating the BJP’s collectorate march here on Tuesday as part of the state-wide protest against the rise of extremism.

The BJP leader demanded the banning of organisations like the NDF and the PDP. PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani should be subjected to narcoanalysis test, he said.

Recalling the comment of the mother of one of the extremists killed in Kashmir that the country was dearer to her than her son, Krishnadas said that if CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan and KPCC chief Ramesh Chennithala speak in the same voice, extremism could be rooted out from the state. He said that the BJP was not against providing job reservation for minorities. The BJP stood for providing reservation to the economically backward sections of the Hindu community also.

BJP district president K Sivadas presided over the meet.

Among those who spoke included state committee member N Sivarajan, zonal president T Chandrasekharan and Mahila Morcha state president Shobha Surendran.
