State BJP president PK Krishnadas on Saturday charged the CPI(M) and the State police with initiating efforts to trap leaders of Hindu organisations and BJP and RSS in fabricated cases.

He said the Marxist party had started this move to divert the people’s attention from it against the ending of operations and investigations against terrorists and also to finish off these parties. Krishnadas also said that the move against the Sangh Pariwar leaders was also aimed at keeping away from the people the relations of certain CPI(M) leaders with Muslim organisations PDP and NDF whose links with Pakistan and Kashmir terrorists.

Krishnadas said that the constitution of a special bomb squad by the State Government for investigations into bomb-making in Kannur district was part of the implementation of this agenda against the BJP leaders. He alleged that this plan was hatched at a meeting of Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan with some prominent CPI(M) leaders with certain IPS officials loyal to the Marxist party, in Thiruvananthapruam on November 13.

He also said that the present move was to erase the bad feeling that had developed in the minds of the NDF and PDP due to the nominal operations against terror operatives. “This probe is not with any national interest, but the intention of this is to win over Muslim votes. It is the same Minister, who had once said that bombs would be made even at police stations if needed, now saying that he would end the bomb-making in Kannur,” Krishnadas said.

He said the BJP was always ready to cooperate even with the CPI(M) to bring lasting peace in Kannur. “We were ready for this even earlier. But such efforts were defeated due to the fascist posture adopted by the CPI(M),” he said.

Krishnadas said the BJP in the State was prepared to face any probe into major crude bomb hauls at various places in Kannur. On the death of two RSS workers in a blast, suspected to be an accident while making bombs in Cheruvanchery recently, he said it was a blast occurred at the premises of a temple.
