Soofiya Madni surrenders

Coimbatore:Soofiya, wife of Islamic Terrorist leader Abdul Nasser Madani, a key accused in the 1998 serial blasts, and against whom a non-bailable warrant was pending, surrendered before a judicial magistrate here on Monday.


 


Cases under Sections 353 (preventing public servants from discharging their duties) 354 (outraging modesty – in this case a woman constable) and 506 (intimidating and threatening dire consequences) are charged against Soofiya Madni.


 


Naushad, another accused in this case, had already admitted his guilt and underwent one-year imprisonment.


 


Soofiya Madni was also the prime suspect in Tamil Nadu Bus burning case at Kalammassery.
