SNS was formed as a result of the deviance of NSS leadership from promoting Hindu Unity and reducing the organisation to meet the whims and fancies of few leaders. Ever since it’s formation SNS is emerging as a strong alternative to NSS. Within short time of it’s formation many members of NSS who were not happy with it joined the new organisation. Many who stayed away from joining NSS had also came forward to join SNS.

SNS Chairman V Gopalakrishnan Nair, General Convenor K Gopinathan Nair and K P Vijayan were present in the press meet.
