Should mathrubhumi readers ring Obama or Armstrong to know truth about ‘Hannan’?

Kozhikode: The fake news published about a Muslim girl Hannan – The Child prodigy in Mathrubhumi raises some serious questions about the nature and work ethics followed my our Journalistic Freinds.

If that news came in “Deshabhimani” or “Chandrika” or “Siraj” it’s quite understandable and nothing much to wonder about it. But it came in Mathrubhumi which claims themselves
as one of the leading news paper in Kerala.

Who is capable enough to question the theories of Einstein-
Who left our great Sceintist Abdul Kalam clueless about what she is talking about
Who got special invitation by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in US
Who designed rockets for NASA
About The list of her admirers ranging from Barack Obama to Neil Armstrong
Queen of Qatar seems to be her regular visitor
About the support she receives from Tennis star Roger Federer
Sponsorship offers from Wipro , Enfosyis and Google

These  were the few ‘FACTS’ penned down by the Mathrubhumi reporter for the readers to digest.The reporter have no second thoughts in the fact that once Hanan’s ‘Theory of Absolute Zero’ is published Sceintific community will throw Einsteins Thery of Relativity in Dust bin!

Several English Media also carried the story, Kerala Government too came with all support – After going through this suspicious report an IIT student contacted the Editor of the English daily which carried the report and demanded an apology for fooling the public by printing such fake stories.The Editor in Chief contacted the reporter and asked him to provide the proof. The poor reporter contacted Mathrubhumi reporter and managed to collect the phone number of the girl.

After trying to contact several times he made contact – The first request from her side was – Will you please help me to find some sponsors? The reporter who wrote lavishly about her high flying contacts,fans and admirers recieved his first jolt. No Wipro, No Enfosysis, No Google, No Queen of Qatar neither Roger Federer is around to help her now!

When he asked her about the certificate from MIT- After repeated request she gave him a routine acknowledgement letter send by MIT which they send after receiving an application! She also complains that no one is helping her because she belongs to a Minority Religion!

When enquired about the geniunity of Hanan to Abdul Kalam, Former President of India following is the reply we got from his PA

 “Reference your mail addressed to Dr Kalam.  He has not authenticated any paper from  any student.  According to him, If any paper has to be recognised it has to be published in scienticfic journals/magazines and debated in scientific forums”

Does Mathrubhumi expects it’s readers to ring Obama, Neil Armstrong,  Roger Federer or Abdul Kalam  to confirm whether the news is true? Even after this many days Mathrubhumi
haven’t even shown the audacity to admit their mistake and apologize to it’s readers for taking them on a ride.
