Shoba Surendran, Babu and Ranjith – BJP Candidates

Kochi:BJP announced the candidates for all the three Assembly constituencies for the upcoming by-poll election. State party president PK Krishnadas said in Kochi on Wednesday that State Mahila Morcha president Sobha Surendran would contest in Ernakukulam. Reports said that Sobha was not willing to contest the by-poll but agreed to be candidate when the leadership gave her the instruction.

The BJP candidate for Alappuzha seat would be municipal councilor K Babu while K Ranjith, Kannur district general secretary of the party, would be the candidate in Kannur. The party had decided to field candidates in the three seats after detailed discussions at a meeting of the State leadership in Kochi the other day.

Shobha Surendran: Prominent Woman leader of BJP from Kerala is a native of Vadakkanchery in Thrissur District.Held responsibilities in various Sangh Pariwar organisations From 1990-95 she was Balagokulam Taluk,Jilla Bhagini Pramukh.She also was ABVP District Joint Secretary Yuvamorcha Jilla Commitee Member, State Commitee member and Yuvamorcha Vice president.She is currentl State Mahila Morcha president

Ranjith : Started his social services through RSS and later become the Kannur District leader after proven his leadership skills through Yuvamorcha.Under Ranjith’s leadership BJP had made inroads into several Communist pockets in Kannur.Known for his Oratary skills of Ranjith ,is a leader who gained respect from the public irrespective of their party leanings in Kannur

K Babu: Started his service to Mother India through RSS and later lead ABVP and Yuvamorcha in Alapuzha district.For past 13 years he is BJP’s Muncipality councillor as well.
