GURUVAYUR: In the wake of the fresh controversy in Sree Krishna College here, the BJP activists conducted a protest in front of the college on Friday. A large posse of policemen has been deployed outside the college considering the possibility of law and order issues.

The BJP district leadership has sought stringent action against the defaulters. Guruvayur police said that they have already started search operations against those persons related to the case, who have reportedly went absconding.

Meanwhile, college principal told mediapersons that he was not informed about the content of the magazine and the college officials were not consulted during the preparation of the controversial page.

“When the magazine was unveiled in January, this controversial page was not there in the copy used at the function. We also failed to notice the page when the magazine was distributed in March, a day before the closing of the college for summer vacation.

I asked the staff editor to look into the issue and he gave an official reply that the page has come in print without his consent,” principal D Jaya Prasad said.

Almost all the students, who were associated with the magazine has now passed out of the college as they were final year students during the last academic year. None of them were available for comment.
