Senior HAV leader passes away

Thiruvananthapuram: J. Sisupalan, former state president of the Hindu Aikya Vedi passed away at a private hospital here in the city, where he was under treatment. His mortal remains would be consigned to flames this evening at Santi Kavadam.

Sisupalanji, who has not been keeping well, was in medical treatment for almost 6 months. He was admitted to hospital in a serious conditions 3 days ago. Sisupalanji came to public life through Chinmaya Mission in the year 1958 and in 1964, he became the district office bearer of the RSS. Sisupalanji has been in the forefront of various important agitations – including Nilakkal – taken out by Hindu organizations in Kerala.

He was Hindu Aikyavedi State President from 2004 to 2007. He has been working as the patron of Hindu Aikyavedi. His children are Durgadas and Dr.Krishna Priya.
