Political Leaders with Selective Amnesia and Ignorance Must Resign; says P. Parameswaran, Director of Bharathiya Vichara Kendram.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM : Political leaders and elected ministers must resign if they are suffering from selective amnesia, purposeful memory loss and convenient ignorance says P.Parameswaran, Director, Bharathiya Vichara Kendram. He was referring to the recent incident of the Marxist Party General secretary Pinarayi Vijayan who claimed that he was carrying bullets in his bag during his flight to New Delhi due to his amnesia. Sri Parameswarji also exposed the irrational excuse of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Samuel R. Reddy when he claimed that he owns thousands of acres of land due to ignorance of the revenue laws and regulations.

Almost daily one reads in the newspapers of various games, excuses, scams and irrational defenses perpetrated on the public by political leaders. All leaders are humans. But all members of the public are not leaders. Leaders are elected because people trust them to be honest, sincere, able, and law abiding. If they betray the public trust and play games with schemes, fraud, deception, selective memory loss and ignorance, they are not fit to be leaders. He urged the public to identify and examine such political leaders and label them as incapable to lead the nation.
