KOZHIKODE: The so called secular leaders of CPI(M), Congress, CPI, all factions of the Kerala Congresses, Muslim League and others are flocking to the residence of Kanthapuram Aboobakker, a notorious gangster and Islamic terrorist, based at Malappuram. All CPI(M) leaders except V S Achuthanandan called on Kanthapuram to seek his blessings for the upcoming elections to the Assembly. KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala is a regular visitor to Kanthapuram’s residence and wastes no opportunity to ridicule the Hindus to be in the good books of the terrorist leader.

Kanthapuram Aboobakker is one of the main suspect in the Chekannoor Moulavi  murder case. The formers hatred for Hindus is notorious. It is said that Kanthapuram deputed his henchmen to finish off Chekannoor Moulavi, an  Islamic reformer. The CBI investigation into the Chekannur Moulavi reached nowhere with almost all the prime witnesses turning hostile with the installation of the Manmohan Singh government at the centre.

The CPI(M) won the Manjieri Lok Sabha election because of the tacit support extended by Kanthapuram to T K Hamza, the party candidate. It may be noted that  Pinarayi Vijayan called on Kanthapuram to offer his thanks giving immediately after getting re elected as the CPI(M)  state secretary.

Surprised by the increase in the number of blessing seekers, Kanthapuram is reported to have told his subordinates to screen all the visitors. It is reported that the favor seekers have assured the terrorist leader that the Chekannoor Moulavi case investigation will be called off immediately after the assembly election. Some Congress leaders have gifted Kanthapuram with a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser worth Rs 50,00,000 in the Kerala market.
