Secular Ashram’s Iftar party halted

via HK Correspondent published on October 17, 2006

Every year, during the feasting (not fasting) month of Ramadan, it becomes fashionable for pseudo-secular Indians to oraganize Iftar parties for members of a society of criminals and terrorists.

Political parties do it with an eye on the solid Muslim vote bank. Pseudo-Hindus do it out of fear of a violent community. But why should a Hindu ashram organize an Iftar party?

That is what happened a couple of days ago at Karanthur near Kozhikode in Kerala. Hindu residents of the area had met Sunil Karanthur, the organizer of the Iftar party, and requested him not to go ahead with this shameful show of ‘matha-maitri.’  Worst of all, he insisted on serving beef, the meat obtained by slaughtering an animal all Hindus consider sacred. But he would not listen to good advice. That left Hindu activists of the area no choice but to act.

Hundreds of patriotic youngster marched to the ‘ashram’ and overturned vessels containing food cooked for members of a hard-core anti-Hindu community. These youngsters deserve the sincere gratitude of all Hindus. They have sent a signal to all such ‘secular’ ashrams in Kerala that activities that bring shame on Hinduism and Hindu society would no longer be tolerated. How wonderful would it be if Hindus all over India were to react as firmly and swiftly as they did recently at Karanthur!
